memorable

This summer, Dan and I worked for his sister, Vicki, on a project for Scripture Union.

Vicki wrote 15 Bible verse songs aimed at 7-11 year olds to help them learn bits of the Bible.

We took them, modified some of them and paired them up with songs from the recent charts that children of that age have enjoyed and sent them to Tommy and Rachel who recorded them.

The result is 15 well-produced (thanks Tommy) songs in contemporary styles (Kylie, Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield, Black Eyed Peas etc) which kids will love and which churches can use in their childrens work and in many other ways.

The first one ia available for free download at the Scripture Union site and you can hear samples of three more of them there too. The rest will be released over 2006 to coincide with publications of Splash, the SU magazine for 7-11 year olds. Apart from the first one, tracks are £1.50 and include the MP3, powerpoint presentation of the lyrics, a printable poster, OHP ready words and sheet music. A bargain!

If you work with kids in your church, please use them! If you don't but you know someone who does, please let them know....

Other music news... you can now buy Save Me by Meeker (a band that Dan is in) on iTunes. Go shop!
