So far I have read Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges and Ruth.
Quite obviously I'm not going to make it by Easter Sunday morning but I don't care. I'm enjoying it anyway.
It's great reading it so systematically rather than dipping into bits. Noticed some interesting things I've never spotted before too. My favourite question so far is...
Why did God suddenly try to kill Moses having just sent him back to Egypt to rescue the people? Exodus 4v24
That is the weirdest thing... no idea..
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your stamina. I have never been a fast reader so it takes me ages to read books and I usually end up skipping bits to get through it with the result that it doesn't make sense at all. I have never read the Bible, but I really should. I am embarrassed when my daughter asks me questions about it I can't answer!
ReplyDeleteI read that recently and wondered too!
ReplyDeleteAlso, this may be me being thick and not understanding, but in Numbers 22 v20-21 - in his dream, God tells Balaam to go with Balak's men in v20, but yet in v22, he is angry and opposes him. Why?
