posting stuff

There's an interesting article here about an experiment in which a few guys posted a variety of items to each other in various states of packaging to see what got through and how long it took.

I love random posting. I've sent a message in a bottle, a rubber penguin with the address label and stamp sellotaped to his chest, a teddy bear with the address stitched to his back and a letter stitched into his stuffing, a tiny cardboard box with a letter written on a continuous strip of paper wound up inside and an empty Marmite jar with a letter in and the address and stamp stuck to the lid.

Hmm. Maybe it's time for some more random posting...

  1. Hey Rach... cool post - one year at the Reading Festival we decided not to buy postcards but to write notes on and send stuff that we found - we successfully sent messages to friends on paper plates, napkins, tree bark and flyers for various bands...
People thought we must have been smoking strange things - I'm saying nothing...
