what a day

The product of last week's radio adventure arrived on Monday. So, as promised, here is the poem in all its glory.

Rachel's Cheese & PIckle Sandwiches

The 16th of January - what a day
Lurch from the Addams Family passed away
And Rachel had cheese and pickle sarnies in Coventry

The 16th of January - what a day
Toscanini the conductor passed away
And Rachel had cheese and pickle sarnies in Coventry

The 16th of January - what a day
A listener and his wife found out they were going to have a baby
Dean in Wiltshire's pubic hair was grey
Helen went from blonde to dishwater brown, eh?
Mick the police dog handler took the long way
And Rachel ate cheese and pickle sarnies in Coventry

The 16th of January, what a day!
Leon [word unclear] had his good teeth taken away
I went to the southern pole of inaccessibility
And Rachel had cheese and pickle sarnies in Coventry

And Robin got an iPod in Bristol today
Cost the 16th of January is a memorable day
But he couldn't see the screen in any kind of way
Cost the 16th of January is a memorable day
